Welcome to the USTEP website.
What is USTEP?
USTEP is an education programme which aims to encourage more girls to consider entering into a career in science, technology, engineering, mathematics or construction (STEM). The My City: Sheffield Project is a pilot that involves teams of 13-15 year old female pupils from 5 local secondary schools: Bradfield, City, Firvale, Stocksbridge and Westfield.

The pupils will be taught the skills required to build their own virtual representation of the City of Sheffield. Each school will be given a task to create an information centre that informs about and illustrates a specific piece of Sheffield's history, culture, environment or something that it is renowned for.
The pupils will be supported throughout the programme by a team of female university and college students and have access to a network of STEM experts via teachers and student mentors.
